Gun laws.

In Malaysia, people are prohibited to own a gun. The reason is because it brings a lot of controversial as well as debate on this issue. Even I do not have a real gun, but I do have a paintball gun. In real life, I would like to have a real gun. If you own a gun, you probably will feel a sense of safety because holding a gun can simply means you're not likely to hurt by others. And also, you will not be threaten when you're facing a robber, conversely, you can pointing your gun to the robber. Indeed, gun law shouldn't be prohibited in Malaysia since the crime rate in cities are increasing all the time. However, the gun should be placed where the children are not able to get it. It is consider as dangerous if children are holding the gun, because they have not enough understanding about the gun. The children are not able to hold the gun properly when the gun recoiled. Children will also simply fire with the gun because they feeling it is a kind of heroic action (due to the imitation from TV program). At last, the gun provides both benefits as well as bad just depend on how you use it.

American football.

As we discussed in the class that sports are part of the culture, so football will the American culture as well. A football team is consist of above 50 players to 100 player (NFL) and each team will be in the football field. The team will get the scores when they bring the football to the opponent's end zone and the term of scoring is called 'touchdown'. After one team touched down, they will have opportunity for extra score point and that is called free kick. Moreover, the football match consists of 4 quarter, normally will be 15 minutes or 12 minutes (high-school & college). From my own perspective, American loves football games because it represents the spirit of American, take courage and rush towards the goal no matter how many obstacles there are. Indeed, homecoming game is interesting but not as Packers game. Throughout the homecoming football game, I realized that nothing is impossible, even though Blugold scores 16 - 0 points in the 1st and 2nd quarter, but eventually they're lose by the opponent. I hope next homecoming game the Blugold quarterback will not have too many turnover so that they can win they game.

Walking tour.

First of all, I'm so glad to have the opportunity to explore more in the Eau Claire and the weather of that day were just nice to have a walking tour. Besides those pictures are taken in the windy and sunny day. Specially thanks for Bae because he helps me to take the pictures and brought me to those places even though he had done with his walking tour. I'm appreciate that very much!

The bungalow, and its early twentieth century style, which remainedpopular until 1940, is easily recognizable. Usually one or one and a halfstory structures, these informal wooden, stucco or brick houses havebroad, sloping roofs ending in wide eaves, and may exhibit exposedrafters, able windows, or dormers and a modest front porch. The smallresidences, most commonly erected by middle class people, conform tothe early twentieth century preference for convenience and simplicity.
Highly popular in the 1930s, inexpensive bungalow plans were availablefrom Sears and Montgomery Ward catalogs and in other “bungalowbooks” prepared by local contractors and builders. Individual examplesmay feature cobblestone chimneys or decorative half-timbering.
First popularized in California, bungalows are thought to have evolvedfrom thatched hut cottages in India

Eau Claire architect Edward Hancock designed the Second Ward School and amatching 1929 addition. Hancock was born in England in 1889 and immigratedas a boy to the United States. He moved to Eau Claire in 1915 and designed anumber of landmark properties such as the Masonic Temple, the commercialblock at 403 South Barstow Street, two homes within the Third WardNeighborhood and the Eau Claire Senior High School. The school was renamedBoyd Elementary School in 1951 recognizing Robert Boyd, a realtor and citycouncilman who donated the land to the north for Boyd Playground.
The building is a fully developed example of the Collegiate Gothic style includinga brick finish accented with stone, parapets, towered keep-like entrance andornamentation such as the stone quoining, patera, classical moldings and humanfaced grotesques.
The school closed in the spring of 2002 and was converted into apartments.

Rope course

Rope course is constructed by variety types of outdoor activity and it is also required some strategy in order to complete each part of activity. During the rope course, we have completed 5 kinds of activity withing 4 hours plus. Except for the swinging part, other activities are need to done by at least 1 group of people. These activities letting us get to know more about each of our classmate. The most challenging part of the rope course is swinging on the air. Indeed, it seems to be everyone is nervous while waiting for the people, all of them are excited after they finished the swing part. At the end of the course, everyone is enjoying even though those activities are in the raining condition. From my own perspective, rope course provides us not only corporation, trust and teamwork, but also our self-confidence and more opportunity to interact with others.
