As we discussed in the class that sports are part of the culture, so football will the American culture as well. A football team is consist of above 50 players to 100 player (NFL) and each team will be in the football field. The team will get the scores when they bring the football to the opponent's end zone and the term of scoring is called 'touchdown'. After one team touched down, they will have opportunity for extra score point and that is called free kick. Moreover, the football match consists of 4 quarter, normally will be 15 minutes or 12 minutes (high-school & college). From my own perspective, American loves football games because it represents the spirit of American, take courage and rush towards the goal no matter how many obstacles there are. Indeed, homecoming game is interesting but not as Packers game. Throughout the homecoming football game, I realized that nothing is impossible, even though Blugold scores 16 - 0 points in the 1st and 2nd quarter, but eventually they're lose by the opponent. I hope next homecoming game the Blugold quarterback will not have too many turnover so that they can win they game.
Nothing is really impossible. That is why we have to keep our feet on the ground even though the score after the first quarter was 16-0. Sportmanship is really important when playing games because it shows how good and respectful you are as an opponent.
ReplyDeleteI think it was good game and lots of people enjoied the game. 16-0 is possible to reverse the game in American football but it is impossible for soccer game.
